MAYA has featured MWA Projects in its Spotlight series as one of the most loved companies to work for in the UK. The feature follows our win at the 2026 Culture 100 Awards, which recognise the UK's most thriving workplaces. Winners were chosen after more than 5,000 companies were reviewed and over 20,000 employees were surveyed.
Since 2002, our mission has been simple: Making Workspace Amazing. The feature looks at the culture behind that mission and the four values that guide how we work: On the level, Responsive and ready, Surprise and delight, and People people. It also notes that around 90% of our customers are returning clients, a sign of the relationships our team builds.
MAYA highlights how our people are encouraged to take ownership, raise challenges early and grow with the business. Several team members have progressed into senior and Director-level roles, supported by training and further qualifications. We celebrate together, too, with team shout-outs, our annual Employee of the Year, Rising Star and Best New Starter awards, monthly breakfasts and our yearly dragon boat race.
The feature also covers our partnership with the Groundwork Foundation, which offers six-month placements to people returning to work. As Matt puts it, "culture underpins everything the business does."
