The Henley Herald has covered the launch of Made With Ambition – How to build your legacy with grit, honesty and hard work, the new book by our CEO and Founder, Matt Watts. The book traces Matt's journey from founding MWA Projects in 2002 with £25,000 of his own savings to building a business that today employs more than 40 people.
The book launched on 4 December 2025 to a packed Henley Town Hall, where Matt was interviewed by Matt Brown. The evening also raised money for Thames Hospice, and its CEO, Dr Rachel Coe, spoke about the charity's work in our community.
As the Henley Herald reports, Matt "never really planned to write the book". It covers the personal experiences that shaped him, his move into quantity surveying and the projects that put MWA on the map, including Net-a-Porter's offices, which led to work for Nike, Stella McCartney, Chloé and Jimmy Choo. It's also an honest account of steering the business through the 2008 crash, Brexit and COVID-19.
