A Fresh, Contemporary Fit-Out for an Independent London Restaurant
We were appointed to deliver the complete fit-out of Hippy Fish, transforming a retail unit into a vibrant, design-led restaurant that reflects the brand's fresh, healthy and laid-back identity.
Working alongside the client and design team, we delivered a high-quality interior that balances striking aesthetics with the practical requirements of a fast-paced food service environment. Every detail was carefully coordinated to create an inviting customer experience while ensuring durability, hygiene and operational efficiency behind the scenes.
Hippy Fish wanted a unique destination that would stand out on the high street whilst embracing the simplicity and freshness of its Hawaiian-inspired menu. The design features a minimalist palette of polished concrete finishes, textured microcement, bespoke counters, natural timber furniture and woven lighting, creating a calm, contemporary environment enhanced with bold branding and vibrant feature colours. Our team managed the fit-out from shell to completion, coordinating specialist trades and ensuring the restaurant was delivered to the highest standard ready for opening.
Attention to detail was central to the success of the project. The seamless curved seating, handcrafted textured finishes and bespoke serving counter required close coordination between specialist trades to achieve the architect's vision.
The open-plan layout maximises customer flow while allowing the preparation area to remain visible, reinforcing the brand's focus on fresh ingredients and quality food preparation. Natural materials and soft neutral finishes are contrasted with colourful woven pendant lighting and striking blue menu boards to create an interior that feels both modern and welcoming.
The completed restaurant provides Hippy Fish Poké with a distinctive flagship space that perfectly represents its brand. Combining contemporary design with practical functionality, the fit-out creates an engaging customer experience while supporting efficient day-to-day operations for staff.
